November 5, 2010 in the spotlight : penny farthing design house
OMG I am oh sooo excited about this new and gorgeous decorating concept by Penny Farthing Design House. So excited that I am pretty much squealing as I type! Penny Farthing DH is a collaboration by Sydney sisters Sarah Nielson and Alice Flynn. Together they have curated a collection of objets d′art for the home. I am loving the bed head art piece and the perspex coffee table.
What is your earliest memory of yourself as a creative person?
Play dough, my mother made it in every colour of the rainbow, I can still sit and play with it for hours with my nieces.
Alice is also a contributing stylist for Real Living, (see link to story below) and one of the founders of print dolls. Below we chat to Sarah ... come and see Penny Farthing DH next week.

Day to day, what is it that inspires creativity in you?
I can't go past a magazine for inspiration, I love everything from Vogue India, Vanity Fair to Living Etc.

Forming a business with my sister, I love being in business with her she has a level of creativity that most of us can only dream of.

The Ginger and Smart blog, The Hills Hoist that has been installed at the 3 beans cafe in the city, Sibella Court's The Society Inc and a bit of daily marketing wisdom from Seth Godin.
What are you tired of?
Blatant copying of a concept or fashion piece, an evolution of an idea is an awesome thing - keep creating!
